Histats - BigBro News

Well, I'm not very diligent keeping my blog updated and tidy. Not many of you are complaining! For those who still keep some faith in me and click by accident on my blog (I don't assume there is another reason), I thought to share with you some data about the the yearly amount of visits on My Only Planet. Last March I started to use Histats on my blog (a hidden tracker) with the help of which I could see how often you visit my blog. I wanted to make the tracker visible a long time ago... I just didn't get there yet. To compensate this deficiency, I would like to share with you some interesting data and a screenshot to show you what you had done in a year.

- My favourite hit was from Kuala Lumpur googleing 'weapons of harmony'.

- I'm very much surprised by the strong interest in my blog from New Zealand. I would have never thought of it.


- Prague doesn't surprise me, though. Good people are there:)


- My sweet Hungarian and Dutch Readers, All I hope is that I won't lose my ability to write in Hungarian while writing more in Dutch.

Don't be surprised there must be a reason (or two) for it all. By the way, I haven't visited your planet for a week. Good to see that Czech Republic has been beaten by NZ:)

Saves the Day

Back to the weekly regime. Bi-weekly. Any kind of regime. Leaving prints of the days, of the uninteresting, of the nothing happening. Then that’s it. Trying to understand the forces that mute me and tell me everything I say is utterly useless and unnecessary.   They say it so loud, it’s scary. With time (What I really mean is with age) I would expect fearlessness would take over. Oh how wrong I am. Doubt mountains everywhere I look. And I realize that if I say nothing, if I pretend life can just happen in one dimension, somewhere between the work laptop and the television, that means they won against me. Dahab Diving memories I.

Sometimes the best holiday experiences are born from a spontaneous idea, without too much planning or overthinking, like the one I’m going to tell you about. The idea of going to Egypt was inspired by a friend we met (also spontaneously) in Croatia earlier this year. He told us that he took a diving course in Egypt and that it was one of his favorite destinations to visit during his year of traveling. I was always aware that Egypt is a special place to visit not only for its cultural heritage but also because of the rich underwater life of the Red Sea. In my case, the safety concerns of visiting the country were always stronger than my curiosity so I put the country on the back burner as a place I probably never get to visit in this lifetime.
